It doesn't say how many console's sold with it. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying you're comment is a logical falacy.

You cannot deduce your conclusion from the information given in the article.

I heard another rumor that it wasn't motion controls to replace the whole contoller, but rather a way for the 360 controller to replace the right analogue stick.

Personally, I'd prefer a right analogue stick replacement over entire motion controls (until we move into virtual reality) because it's the only thing holding console's back from PCs in control other than sheer number of buttons.

If they figured out a way to make the right analogue stick/replacement func...

He deserved to be let go. His reviews were generally unprofessional regardless of how honest they were or the content in them. If gamespot wanted to move forward to be regarded as a professional entity rather than a group of people that played games, they did a very smart thing firing him.

The 360 isn't M$'s DD device. The 360 was designed to get people used to the idea of DD. The actual device will probably be M$'s next system.

Look at XBL marketplace as the testing ground/preview for DD, not as the finished product.

This is something that M$ has been working on for a LONG time, and it's only a matter of time before it happens.

My point was from a purely business standpoint. Do you think that losing that much market share is in any way good? regardless of where the finish line is, M$ already did what it wanted to acomplish this gen. Last gen they wanted to get a foothold, they did. This gen, they wanted to establish market share, and they did that too.

Even if half the PS2s sold were rebuys, it's still an enormous market loss. If even a quarter of Windows using businesses switched to linux right now i...

That's because they overshipped in holiday 06, and every console that wasn't sold then was still reported in 06 despite it still being on the shelf.

If it weren't for Japan, the PS3 wouldn't even have come close.

M$ is more than capable of making a good product. Sony made the same mistake with the PS2 and DRE. They tried to cut a little cost, and it came back to bite em in the ass. At least they are extending the warranty and fixing it.

The original xbox was a great system. I could throw it around my room and it would have worked fine. People shot it, threw it off balcony's, chucked it around, and it still worked.

The 360's problems are a design issue with the 360, not an...

So I guess the 360 started this generation with a fanbase of over 100 million too? I'd take that over launching a year earlier 9 times out of 10. Having a fanbase more than 5 times as large as the next largest competitor should almost garantee you're success as long as you don't mess up.

The fact that sony is still in third place is a testament to the fact that sony did mess up this gen.

If this gen ends with a 20% M$ market share, 30% sony, and 50% Nintendo, It ...

First, I was talking about corn. It's a grain that supports most of the US farming economy. maybe you've heard of it. Read more here http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

Second, I suppose you can provide a good reason why the PS3 version is "better" validating the reason the poster decided to change the original headline of the recap?

You're blind if you think that's not at all biased. There's no...

This is not Internet 2.0. this is a purely technological advance. Internet 2.0 was a new set up of regulations paired with some technological workarounds, but this is mostly technological in it's advancement.

They are two different things that should not be confused.

Jesus you people are harsh. It was clearly posted by a Sony fanboy. Nobody would change the title to say "PS3 the better version?" when the only real benefit in the game is split screen.

Controller and color pallete are preference. Frame rate issues aren't huge because you have the option to install, and they were minor.

Look at the prices of other fiber optic networks that are already being put in place. Considering the increase in speed they are actually really really afordable.

5919d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I don't see how this is bad for anyone. Lower prices on used games, and higher prices for returns. Super bonuse. Even if you wouldn't use gamefly, it'll still make Gamestop adjust prices to be more competitive.

It's not the implementation of the grid in it's entirety. Implementing parts of it into the existing network will increase download speeds by a lot anyway, and getting that down will be the biggest thing holding back DD. If they can even double download speeds, you could be able to almost stream HD content, and then it's only a matter of time.

5919d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

If you read the whole thing, some of the technology being used in the grid is already being applied to other fiber optic networks being established by major telecoms that are going to increase download speeds tremendously.
